SmokeMiester BBQ Pellet Smoker, new and improved. We replaced the two piece smokescreen and now have a one piece drop in pullout screen and grate for easier operation, and a swing away ash pan that is attached to the body of the smoker, independent of the lower lid for easy lighting or cleaning. Description: A small cylinder type add-on smoker; that burns chips or pellets, producing wood flavored smoke for cooking. The smoke is piped from the smoker though a 1" tube connected to a BBQ or smoke chamber. You can grill, hot and cold smoke, on one space saving unit. Adds smoke for flavor when you want it. Easy to use and virtually self-cleaning. Installation: There are many different barbecues with different shaped bottoms. If the side is straight you don't need additional parts. If the bottom is sloped you will need a 3/4" 45 degree elbow pipe fitting and a 3/4" short nipple, not supplied, they are available at most hardware stores. These items will cost
approximately $2.75 for the 3/4" 45
degree elbow pipe fitting, and $1.00 for the 3/4" nipple. Using the additional parts you can adjust the elbow to obtain a level outlet tube and a vertical smoker, this puts the smoker at an angle to the BBQ. Most Weber covered grills have a cast aluminum base which is thick enough to hold a couple of threads, if you have
access to a 3/4" pipe tap you can drill the appropriate sized hole and tap, this makes a good installation because you can screw the smoker into the barbecue and use one locknut, supplied, to lock in place. In all cases the installation of the outlet tube must be below the heat source. Only 2 cups of pellets are needed for most cooking events. The position of the lower lid regulates the amount of smoke entering your BBQ. Self Cleaning without removal; smokers should be cleaned after each use.
